Getting started
Welcome — what you just got
First, congratulations. You now own FX-Agency Advisor 4 (we will call it FXA4). This lesson explains what it does and how to use this guide.
IN SHORTFXA4 is a smart dashboard that watches many currency pairs for you and shows when to buy or sell. This guide takes you from zero to confident, one easy step at a time.
What is FXA4, in simple words?
FXA4 is a tool that sits on your trading screen (inside MetaTrader 4 or MetaTrader 5). It watches many currency pairs at the same time. For each pair it tells you three things in plain view:
Bias — is the market leaning up (buy) or down (sell)?
Heat — how strong is that lean right now?
Signal — is there a clear chance to enter a trade? BUY‑T or SELL‑T.
Think of it like a dashboard in a car. You do not need to look at the engine. You just read the dials and you know what is happening.
★
You do not need to be an expert
This guide assumes you know nothing yet. Every step is explained. Take it slowly and you will be fine.
How to use this guide
The menu on the left is your map. Lessons are grouped into four parts: Getting Started, Using FXA4, Mastery, and Help. Read them in order the first time. Later, you can jump to any lesson you need.
Each lesson starts with a quick “in short” summary, then simple steps and clear pictures. The bar at the top shows how far you have read.

A quick promise
By the end of Getting Started (lessons 1–5) you will have FXA4 installed, activated, and live on your charts.
Let us make sure you have everything ready. Tick off this short list and the install will be smooth.
IN SHORTBefore installing, make sure you have MetaTrader 4 or 5, a broker account, your FXA4 files, and your licence key. A free demo account is perfect for learning.
What you need
MetaTrader 4 or MetaTrader 5
This is the free trading program FXA4 runs inside. Your broker gives it to you. If you do not have it yet, download it from your broker's website and log in.
A broker account
You need an account with a broker (a company that lets you trade). A demo (practice) account is perfect for learning. It uses fake money, so you risk nothing.
Your FXA4 files
These came in your download after purchase (a .zip file). If you cannot find it, check your email or your account page on our website.
Your licence key
This is your personal unlock code. It looks like FXA4-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX. Keep it safe — you will need it in Lesson 5.
A computer (or a VPS)
A normal Windows computer works fine. If you want FXA4 to run 24 hours a day without leaving your own PC on, you can use a VPS (a computer in the cloud). This is optional — more on that later.
★
Start on a demo account
We strongly suggest you learn on a demo account first. Get comfortable, see the signals work, then move to real money when you are ready. There is no rush.
!
Mac user?
MetaTrader works best on Windows. On a Mac you can still run it using a free tool from your broker, or a VPS. If you get stuck, our support team will help — see Lesson 15.
Which one do I have — MT4 or MT5?
Open your MetaTrader program and look at the very top bar. It will say either MetaTrader 4 or MetaTrader 5. Remember which one — you will follow the matching install lesson next (Lesson 3 for MT4, Lesson 4 for MT5).
Follow these steps in order. It takes about 5 minutes. Using MT5? Skip to Lesson 4.
IN SHORTInstalling on MT4 means copying the FXA4 files into MetaTrader’s folders, restarting, and dragging FXA4 onto a chart. About 5 minutes — no tech skills needed.
Step by step
Unzip your download
Find the .zip file you got after buying. Right-click it and choose Extract All. You now have a normal folder with the FXA4 files inside.
Open the MT4 data folder
In MetaTrader 4, click the menu File at the top, then Open Data Folder. A folder window opens. This is where MT4 keeps its files.
Go into MQL4
Inside that window, double-click the folder called MQL4.
Copy the files into place
Put the FXA4 files into the matching folders:
Indicator file → MQL4 › Indicators
Expert / EA file → MQL4 › Experts
Any "Libraries" file (.dll) → MQL4 › Libraries
Just drag each file into the right folder. The instructions inside your zip tell you exactly which file goes where.
Restart MetaTrader 4
Close MT4 fully and open it again. This makes it load the new files.
Find FXA4 in the list
On the left side of MT4 you will see the Navigator panel. Open Indicators (or Expert Advisors). You should now see FX-Agency Advisor 4 in the list.
Drag it onto a chart
Open any currency pair chart. Drag FXA4 from the Navigator onto the chart. A settings box opens — for now just press OK.
Copy each FXA4 file into its matching MetaTrader folder.
!
Allow it to run
The first time, MT4 may ask about "DLL imports" or "Allow live trading". Tick Allow so FXA4 can work. You can also turn on the AutoTrading button at the top of MT4 (it should be green).
i
Nothing on the chart yet?
That is normal before activation. The panel fully wakes up after you enter your licence key in Lesson 5.
This is the final setup step. You enter your key once, and FXA4 unlocks on your computer. Let us do it.
IN SHORTPaste your licence key into the FXA4 settings and press OK. It unlocks on your computer and the panel goes live. This is the last setup step.
Step by step
Open the FXA4 settings
Right-click on the FXA4 panel on your chart and choose Properties (or double-click the chart). Open the Inputs tab.
Paste your licence key
Find the box named Licence Key. Paste your key there: FXA4-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX. Type it carefully if you cannot paste — no spaces.
Press OK
Click OK. FXA4 checks your key with our server and locks it to your computer. This takes a second or two.
See it go live
The panel changes to show ENGINE LIVE and the pairs start filling in with data. You are activated. 🎉
i
What does "locked to your computer" mean?
Your key links to this one computer (we call it HWID — hardware ID). This keeps your licence safe and stops other people using it. Changing computers later? Just contact support and we will move it for you.
×
"Wrong file" or "Invalid key"?
Two common reasons: (1) there is a space before or after the key — remove it; (2) you are online — check your internet, because activation needs the internet once. Still stuck? Lesson 15 shows how to reach us fast.
★
You are now fully set up!
FXA4 is installed, activated, and live. Take a breath — the hard part is done. Next, we learn how to read the dashboard so the numbers actually mean something.
This is the heart of FXA4: one panel that watches many pairs at once. Let us learn to read every part of it.
IN SHORTThe dashboard is one table with a row per pair. Each row shows the direction, strength, signal, entry, stop-loss, target, and live result — all at a glance.
The FXA4 dashboard — every pair, every signal, at a glance.
The three areas
The panel has three simple parts, top to bottom: the header (shows it is alive), the controls (your settings — covered in Lesson 8), and the table (one row per pair). Let us focus on the table, because that is where you read the trades.
Every column, in plain words
SYMBOL
The currency pair (like GBPUSD). A small ▲ means the engine sees it going up, ▼ means down.
BIAS
Either BUYS ONLY or SELLS ONLY — the side the engine favours for that pair right now. It keeps you trading with the trend, not against it.
HEAT
A small bar showing how strong the move is. A fuller, brighter bar means a stronger push. Weak heat = be patient.
SIGNAL
The action. BUY‑T = buy now, SELL‑T = sell now, 2ND‑CH = a second chance to join. Empty means "wait, nothing yet".
LEVEL
The suggested entry price — where to get in.
STOP-LOSS
Your safety exit. If price goes the wrong way and hits this, you are out with a small, planned loss. Always use it.
TAKE-PROFIT
Your target — where to take the win. If it says Let It Run, your Take Profit setting is Off (Lesson 8).
PROFIT/LOSS
The live result of an idea, in pips (the small units price moves in). Green is good, red is not.
i
Row colours
Rows tinted green are buy ideas. Rows tinted red are sell ideas. You can tell the whole picture at a glance.
★
The top status line
Above the table you will see counts like LIVE, READY, WATCHING, and a NET total. LIVE = active ideas, READY = setting up, WATCHING = early. NET is the combined result so far.
A "signal" is FXA4 telling you a trade chance has appeared. There are three kinds. Here is exactly what each one means.
IN SHORTFXA4 gives three signals: BUY-T (buy now), SELL-T (sell now), and 2ND-CH (a second chance). The strong, trend-matching ones are the best to take.
The three signals
BUY‑T
Buy Trigger. The engine sees a clean chance for price to go up. If you want to trade it, you buy.
SELL‑T
Sell Trigger. A clean chance for price to go down. If you trade it, you sell.
2ND‑CH
Second Chance. You missed the first entry? This is a follow-up chance to join the same move. Slightly lower confidence — treat it with a little more care.
How confident should you be?
Use the HEAT bar and the BIAS together with the signal:
A BUY-T on a row with BUYS ONLY bias and strong heat = the cleanest kind of trade. The signal agrees with the trend and the push is strong.
A signal with weak heat is lower quality. It can still work, but be choosier.
The engine only shows triggers in the biased direction, so it naturally keeps you on the right side. That is on purpose.
★
Golden beginner rule
For your first weeks, only take BUY-T / SELL-T signals with strong heat. Skip the weak ones and skip 2ND-CH until you are comfortable. Fewer, cleaner trades win.
!
A signal is a chance, not a promise
No tool is right every time. That is why every trade has a stop-loss. Some trades lose — that is normal. Good risk management (Lesson 10) is what keeps you safe.
Three simple controls change how FXA4 behaves. You can click them right on the panel. Here is what each does.
IN SHORTThree controls shape FXA4: Strength (how picky), Bias (trade with the trend), and Take Profit (how far you aim). Beginners: High, On, Medium (2R).
1. STRENGTH — how picky the engine is
HIGH
Only the strongest signals. Fewer trades, but the cleanest ones. Best for beginners.
MEDIUM
A balance. More signals than High, still good quality. A common everyday choice.
LOW
The most signals — but more "noise" (weaker ones). For active, experienced traders only.
2. BIAS — trade with the trend, or both ways
ON
Only shows trades in the trend's direction. Safer. Recommended while learning.
OFF
Allows trades both up and down. More chances, but you must judge the market more yourself.
3. TAKE PROFIT — how far you aim
This sets your target. "R" means "how many times your risk". If you risk 20 pips and aim for 2R, your target is 40 pips.
OFF · Let It Run
No fixed target. You ride the move and exit by hand. Most freedom, needs most attention.
TINY · 1R
Take profit quickly, equal to your risk. Hits often, smaller wins.
MEDIUM · 2R
Aim for twice your risk. A solid, balanced target. Great default.
HUNGRY · 3R
Aim for three times your risk. Bigger wins, but they hit less often.
★
Recommended starting setup
STRENGTH = HIGH, BIAS = ON, TAKE PROFIT = MEDIUM (2R). This gives you few, clean, sensible trades while you learn. Change things only once you understand why.
Time to put it together. We will place one trade, step by step, using the numbers FXA4 gives you. Do this on a demo account first.
IN SHORTTo trade a signal: open an order, match the direction, copy the stop-loss and take-profit from the panel, place it — then leave it alone and let the plan work.
A worked example
Say FXA4 shows this row:
SYMBOL
GBPUSD ▼
SIGNAL
SELL‑T (strong heat)
LEVEL
1.2730 — your entry
STOP-LOSS
1.2760 — your safety exit
TAKE-PROFIT
1.2670 — your target
Step by step
Open the order window
In MT4/MT5, click New Order (or press F9) on the GBPUSD chart.
Choose the direction
The signal is SELL-T, so you choose Sell.
Set your lot size (your risk)
Start small. On a demo, try 0.01 lots. We size this properly in Lesson 10 — for now, small.
Type in the Stop Loss and Take Profit
Stop Loss = 1.2760. Take Profit = 1.2670. Copy the exact numbers from the panel.
Place the trade
Click Sell to confirm. Done — your trade is live, with safety and target already set.
Now leave it alone
The hardest part. Let it reach your Take Profit or Stop Loss. Do not move them out of fear. Let the plan work.
×
Never trade without a stop-loss
The stop-loss is what limits your loss to a small, planned amount. Removing it to "give the trade room" is how accounts get wiped out. Always keep it.
This is what separates traders who last from those who blow up. Read it twice. Good signals do not matter if your risk is wrong.
IN SHORTRisk only 1–2% of your account per trade, always use the stop-loss, and only trade money you can afford to lose. This is what keeps you in the game.
The golden rules
Risk only a small amount per trade
A common, sensible rule: never risk more than 1% to 2% of your account on a single trade. So on a $1,000 account, risk $10–$20 per trade. This way, even a run of losses cannot hurt you badly.
Always use the stop-loss
FXA4 gives you one for every trade. Use it, every time. It is your seatbelt.
Only trade money you can afford to lose
Never trade rent, food, or borrowed money. Trade with money that, if lost, would not change your life.
Do not chase or revenge-trade
Lost a trade? Do not "win it back" with a bigger one. Stick to the same small risk every time. Calm beats emotional.
How big should my trade (lot size) be?
Lot size decides how much each pip is worth. Bigger lots = bigger risk. The simple way to stay safe:
Decide your risk in money first (say $20).
Look at the stop-loss distance in pips (say 30 pips).
Use a free "position size calculator" (search online, or your broker has one). Type in $20 risk and 30 pips — it tells you the exact lot size.
i
Easiest start of all
On a demo account, just use the smallest lot size (0.01) for every trade while you learn. Focus on reading signals well first; size up slowly and carefully later.
!
A clear-eyed truth
Trading carries real risk and most beginners lose money at first. FXA4 is a tool to help you find trades — it is not a money machine and not financial advice. Slow, careful, small. That is how people last.
The market runs in waves around the world. The panel footer shows which session is active now.
SYDNEY
Quietest. Slow moves.
TOKYO
Active for JPY and AUD pairs.
LONDON
Big volume. Lots of movement, especially for EUR and GBP pairs.
NEW YORK
Also very active, especially for USD pairs.
★
The sweet spot
The best, most active time is when London and New York overlap (roughly 1pm–4pm UTC). The cleanest signals often appear here. Trade when your pairs are awake, not asleep.
A calm, simple routine beats staring at screens all day. Here is how experienced users run FXA4.
IN SHORTCheck the panel at session open, take only the clean strong signals, set your levels, and walk away. Let the engine work — patience beats forcing trades.
A simple daily routine
Check in at session open
Open the panel when London or New York begins. That is when good signals appear.
Scan for the clean ones
Look only for strong-heat BUY-T / SELL-T signals that match the bias. Ignore the rest.
Place, set, and walk away
Enter at the LEVEL, set the STOP-LOSS and TAKE-PROFIT, then leave it. Let the plan run.
Review at the end of the day
Note what worked. A few minutes of review each day makes you better fast.
Tips that make a real difference
★
Let the engine do the work
You do not need to find trades yourself. Wait for FXA4 to show one. No signal? No trade. Patience is a strategy.
★
Keep a simple journal
Write down each trade: pair, signal, result, and how you felt. Patterns appear, and you improve.
i
Want it running 24/7?
If you do not want to leave your own PC on all day, rent a VPS (a small cloud computer). Install MetaTrader + FXA4 on it, and it runs around the clock. Many brokers offer one cheaply or free.
Stuck? Most issues have a quick fix. Find your problem below.
IN SHORTMost problems have a quick fix: turn on AutoTrading, check your internet, remove spaces from your key, or allow DLLs. The common ones are all here.
Panel not showing
Make sure the AutoTrading (MT4) or Algo Trading (MT5) button at the top is green. Then drag FXA4 onto the chart again.
No data / empty rows
Check your internet is on. Also make sure the pairs are in your Market Watch list (right-click Market Watch → Show All).
"Invalid key" / "Wrong file"
Remove any space before or after your key. Check your internet (activation needs it once). Make sure you copied the whole key.
"DLL not allowed" error
Open FXA4 settings → Common tab → tick Allow DLL imports. Press OK.
No signals appearing
The market may simply be quiet, or it is a slow session. Try a busier session (London/New York), or lower STRENGTH from High to Medium.
It worked, then stopped
Usually the chart/MetaTrader was closed. Re-open MetaTrader, re-attach FXA4, and make sure auto-trading is green.

IN SHORTQuick answers to what people ask most — auto-trading, multiple computers, updates, demo vs real money, refunds, and more.
Does FXA4 trade for me automatically?
FXA4 finds and shows you the trades — it does the hard analysis. You stay in control and place the trade with one click, using the entry, stop-loss and target it gives you.
Can I use it on more than one computer?
Your licence links to one computer to keep it secure. Changing or adding a computer? Just message support and we will move or sort it for you.
How many pairs does it watch?
Many major pairs at the same time, all on one panel — so you never have to flick between charts hunting for setups.
Do I need to change the timeframe on my chart?
No. The engine does its own analysis behind the scenes. You can leave your chart as it is.
Will I get updates?
Yes. When a new build is released, FXA4 lets you know inside the panel, and you can update easily.
Should I start on real money?
No — start on a free demo account. Learn the signals, build confidence, then move to real money slowly with small risk.
